Esther

I joined this amazing FitRX tribe March of last year. In just the last year my health, mind, and body has improved tremendously. Austan has been a great mentor to me and is an advocate for women and health.

I met Austan through her spin class and she had mentioned to me on a few occasions that she had this small women’s workout group, but I always declined to join. But somehow Austan kept popping up in my everyday life, mostly just at the grocery store. I’ve always had this nagging feeling she was supposed to be a part of my life in some way; It was like the universe was telling me to let her in. So I FINALLY decided to give this a chance, to give myself a chance, It has been the best decision of my life!

I suddenly start feeling and looking better. I was getting stronger every day both physically and mentally. I can’t put into words how incredible this program is or how amazing, raw, and honest Austan is. I have a community of supportive women rallying around each other every step of the way.
I wish I could say my journey was easy but it was mentally hard. Just like most people we have our struggles.

A year prior to joining FitRx I had a mental break down and I knew this wasn’t something I could fix myself. I sought out help and got a therapist and for once, was able to unload some of this mental weight I’d been carrying around for pretty much my entire life. I’ve had a lot of traumatic events in my life which have held me back without me realizing it. I needed to learn to love that little girl inside of me that was abused, lost, frightened, and felt unloved in order to heal; it took me almost thirty years to figure that out.

I’ve always known that I need to make sure my health was a priority because my mom passed away in her late thirties to cancer. I couldn’t and wouldn’t let that be my story, it’s been the biggest motivating factor in my life. I will do whatever I can to be here for my family, even if it involves having to do burpees.

I still have my struggles but I like to think of them as my battle wounds, some of them have healed but some need a little more time. It wasn’t just about weight loss for me, it was a journey to finding who I was always meant to be, a goofy, confident, fun, loving, badass, strong woman.

It’s been an incredible experience since joining FitRX. I am so thankful for this program and even more so for Austan. You have created something very special.
